Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor with a record order book for 2022/3. They are cash-rich, very profitable and  have grown exponentially from their roots as a family feel contractor. They deliver a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects for a client base of both public and private sector clients. Due to controlled growth and expansion, they are recruiting a Bid Manager to oversee bids on highways, earthworks and structures projects in the South West. The role will be office based in Wiltshire. The Bid Manager will:

• Lead and manage bids in terms of process and content for public and private sector clients
• Oversee the production of technical submissions
• Liaise with senior managers during tender reviews/settlements
• People manage members of the proposals team
• Mentor and develop the proposals staff

To be considered you’ll have a background and track record with a recognised tier 1 or tier 2 civil engineering contractor in a similar role. Ideally, you’ll have a BSc in civil engineering (or equivalent) and a background working operationally in civil engineering prior to moving into work winning.
