We’re working with a privately owned groundworks contractor based in the Midlands. Not a flashy logo or a LinkedIn circus act – just a well-run business with proper clients, repeat business, and a Commercial Director who’s still got his sanity. They’re known for delivering quality, being fair to work with, and pricing jobs sensibly. Hence the steady pipeline.

They need a Senior Estimator. Not to manage people. Not to sit in strategy meetings. Just to price work properly and be a key part of keeping the machine moving.

The job:
You’ll price full groundworks packages – residential and commercial, typically £1m–£10m – for a mixture of national housebuilders and regional contractors. You’ll handle the whole process: take-offs, risk, value engineering (when it makes sense), and tender submittals. It’s proper work, not just spreadsheet ticking.

The environment:
Supportive, grown-up, no drama. You’ll work alongside people who’ve actually done the job. The Commercial Director listens. The Ops team understands civils. The Buyers can negotiate without causing three-day delays. Everyone gets on, gets stuck in, and gets home on time.
