We’re looking for a Senior Estimator/Estimator to price for a large scale civils projects on HS2 you’ll work autonomously taking full responsibility for the tender including:
Pricing tenders analytically from ‘first principles’
Supporting the bid team with information for tender submissions
Managing a Junior Estimator
You’ll have a background working with a recognised civils contractor in a similar role.
Our client has a longstanding track record and pedigree delivering civils and infrastructure schemes in highways, water and utilities.
They’re non-adversarial in the way they work – 80% of their work is repeat business and they’re cash-rich and profitable and therefore can afford to take a long term view in commercial situations.
We know how that pressure can translate for an Estimator when the cash position isn’t good – you’ll be ‘sharpening your pencil’ and under pressure to slash value and items in your price…
That won’t be the case here…so you’ll be tendering properly, selectively and able to take a long term view.
