Our client is a specialist civil engineering  contractor based in Leicestershire. Originally a family business significant growth has not taken them away from the values and qualities which initially set them apart. They are financially strong and growing year on year; the quality of their product on site is evidenced by strong repeat business rates and long-term frameworks with key clients. As niche sector specialists they have won numerous awards for health and safety and quality. They deliver civil engineering projects on waterways and in marine environments up to £5m in value. Their project capability spans dredging, flood alleviation and a variety of marina-based work. They are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor to financially manage schemes. The role will be office based in Leicestershire with visits to sites, as necessary. There will be flexible working with an option to work from home 1 day per week. The Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

•     Forecasting on projects
•     Variations
•     Cost reporting on projects
•     Weekly and monthly cost value reconciliations
•     Compensation events on projects
•     Settling supplier accounts/invoices
•     Settling final accounts

To be considered for the position you’ll have a background and track record with a recognised civil engineering contractor in a similar role.
