This role’s with a specialist civils contractor working on technically interesting projects across the Midlands. The kind that involve shaping ground, stabilising sites, sorting the messy stuff before anyone else starts building. Proper engineering. Real variety.

They’re after an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who’s ready for more than the basics. Someone who’s done the graft, built a bit of commercial instinct, and wants to develop into a fully-fledged QS — with the right support.

You’ll be:

• Measuring and re-measuring works — because the detail matters

• Helping prepare CVRs and forecasts

• Supporting subcontract valuations and accounts

• Getting more involved in final accounts — the grand finale where the numbers become real

• Working alongside experienced QSs who’ll actually teach you the tricks, not just hand you spreadsheets

You’ll be based in Gloucestershire  — and have a sensible mix of site and office, nothing mad. You’ll get exposure to varied civils and infrastructure projects, so every few months you’re learning something new, not just watching another site pour concrete.

They’ll back you properly — structured progression, mentoring, and a clear route to Quantity Surveyor level. You’ll be part of a stable, respected team with a track record that’s older than most of your playlists.
