You’ve seen the plans change mid-job. You’ve explained variations more times than you’ve had hot dinners. You’ve dealt with clients who think “valuation” means “knock 20% off and ignore the contract.” In short – you know residential groundworks inside out, and you’ve got the scars (and spreadsheets) to prove it.

Now, how about joining a new name in the sector – with a huge future – one that’s not playing at it?

We’re talking serious operators with the track record, financial clout and systems of an established player – but the hunger and agility of a start-up. They’ve established a residential groundworks business in double quick time – and it hasn’t been done on a shoe string. They want a switched-on QS to help shape the commercial side from day one.

Office base will be Birmingham with sites across the West Midlands.

You’ll manage multiple sites across the West Midlands. Handle everything from tender stage through to final account. Keep an eye on margin, manage packages, and yes probably scrap over variations now and again – but at least you’ll get the backing from the top.

What you’ll need:

  • Solid residential groundworks experience (if you’ve priced and managed resi groundworks for the big boys you’re more than halfway there).

  • An eye for numbers, a head for risk, and the patience of a saint when clients get creative with scope.

  • A bit of ambition – this isn’t a role for someone cruising toward retirement.

  • A desire to help build something. Properly.
