You’re probably working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a groundworks contractor right now. You’re recognised for being good at what you do. Things are OK – but you know you’re capable of more. They want to recruit a Senior QS to work alongside the Owner/Director as an equal shaping commercial systems and processes and being the ‘commercial conscience’ of the business.

Of course you’ll manage payments, variations and final accounts but you’ll also have a real voice as a senior person in the business. Secure and established they have structured plans for growth and will expand significantly in the next few years.

This a grown up, relaxed work environment where you’ll run your own diary – there’s no micro-management to be found here. There’s also flexibility with scope to work from home 2 days per week.

You’re probably in a situation at the moment where you’re creating substancial value for someone else. The big difference here is you’ll get a real piece of the pie – a real share of the value you’ve created – as there’s scope for a directorship and an equity stake in the medium term.
