We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor for a large scale highways/drainage project on HS2 you’ll work autonomously taking full responsibility for the scheme including:

Client liaison

Subcontract variations

Managing change

CVRs

Managing an Assistant/Junior QS

You’ll have a background working with a recognised civils contractor in a similar role.

Our client has a longstanding track record and pedigree delivering civils and infrastructure schemes in highways, water and utilities.

They’re non-adversarial in the way they work – 80% of their work is repeat business and they’re cash-rich and profitable and therefore can afford to take a long term view in commercial situations.

We know how that pressure can translate for a QS when the cash position isn’t good – you’ll be under pressure to put clients under pressure and everything becomes a fight.

That won’t be the case here…so you won’t need to bring your boxing gloves into work every day as a QS.
